Shalala The late Lucy Kroll, founder and grande dame of Kroll Agency, had for 50+ years, represented some of the greatest talents of all time ... individuals who have credited their own legacies in the fields of music, poetry, science, literature, dance, psychology, film, publishing, theater, television, medicine, and she continued fostering legends. She had been friend, advisor, mentor, confidant and slave driver to many great talents, including Carl Sandburg, Helen Hayes, Jonas Salk, Jane Alexander, Alex Haley, Norman Mailer, Lillian Gish, Pat Carroll, Ossic Davis, and Elizabeth Kubler-Ross. As well, she had represented her famous leaders at the 10th Annual Living Legacy Awards, including, Dorothea and Dan Petrie. And these are but a few miracles that Lucy had brought to the world. The list of those she had represented is long and impressive. In addition, she had done so much for those of us who love theater. Lucy had been responsible in helping establish such residential theaters as the Lincoln Square Repertory, The Manhattan Theater Club, Circle in the Square, Phoenix Theater, Chelesa Theater, New York Shakespeare Festival, and the Actors Theater of Minneapolis, to name only a few gems of drama. The enduring achievements and talents of Lucy Kroll are too numerous to note here. A book is in the process to elaborate on this joyous miracle maker. Women's International Center was privileged and honored to present the Living Legacy Award to Lucy Kroll, a devoted, persistent, loyal, hard working, loving angel of the performing arts. |
